OTTAWA, ON – Jul 16, 2026 – TWOth Autosport announces a technical partnership with Mortimer Racing, marked by the introduction of the TWOth Mortimer Initiative (TMI). This collaborative program is designed to build a strong community and establish a comprehensive foundation for regional drivers and crew, equipping them with the tools, equipment, and vehicles necessary to turn their motorsport aspirations into reality.
By combining resources, operational support, and trackside expertise, the initiative significantly increases the group's fleet size through the collaboration of NA & NB Mazda Miatas. This influx of competitive machinery allows the organization to widen its entry funnel and provide additional vehicles dedicated to competition, solo and group driver development. Off the track, the additional space & tooling provides opportunity for more efficient turnover processes, fleet parody and consistent track experience for drivers.
“We've grown up racing in the Ottawa area with Nigel & Adam, and have benefitted immensely from the structure and support provided to us by pillars in our local motorsport community," said Travis Hill. "Its a privilege to collaborate on a program like this and pay it forward, bringing more opportunities to the next generation of racers!”
The expanded fleet will directly support and fuel growth within TWOth’s recognized club racing, development and experiential programs:
In addition to bolstering these development programs, TMI establishes a robust inventory of spare parts, vehicles and equipment to support TMI’s competition vehicles. This enhanced operational runway will directly benefit teams racing in regional and national series, including:
“Having built and maintained a strong presence in the local Formula Libre & Spec Miata paddock as Mortimer Racing, the evolution of the Miata program under the TWOth Mortimer Initiative is incredibly rewarding,” said Nigel Mortimer. “Passing the torch of these vehicles and experience into a structured environment ensures that the community we’ve built continues to thrive. Collaborating with Travis and Trevor allows us to pool our operational strengths, making it easier than ever for new racers and crew to get on track, develop their skills, and experience competitive motorsport the right way.”
The TWOth Mortimer Initiative represents a strategic milestone in making competitive motorsport more accessible, reliable, and scalable for drivers at all stages of their development.
“Working together to build a true foundation for our drivers is at the core of what we want to achieve,” added Trevor Hill. “This partnership allows both organizations to strengthen their programs while continuing to provide excellent support for our drivers. We look forward to what both teams can accomplish together on and off the track.”
