Hill Takes IMSA LMP3 Bronze Cup Title with Final-Restart Pass at Road Atlanta

Seventh Bronze Cup win of the season seals the 2026 IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge title — and six straight years of national or international championships for TWOth Autosport.

BRASELTON, Ga. — Five laps to go. One restart. One championship on the line.

The Canadian racing organization went into the final weekend of the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge season at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta tied for the Bronze Cup championship points lead ahead of two critical sprint races. Driver Travis Hill had a strong record in the sprint rounds but needed a victory to lock in the title over rival Brian Thienes.

Following a pass on lap 1 of Race 1, Hill controlled the opening 40 minute sprint race taking home P1 in Bronze and P3 overall - his second overall podium of the season. In Race 2, the Ottawa, ON native would need to win once again over Thienes to seize the championship, and found himself behind in the closing laps before a late race caution.

Hill didn't wait for a tiebreaker. On the final restart, he sent his #2 Shopify Racing Ligier LMP3 up the inside at Turn 1, past Thienes as the pack crested the hill into Turn 3 and on to take the victory. The win, his seventh Bronze Cup victory of the season, made Hill the 2026 LMP3 Bronze Cup Champion outright.

"We've focussed our rookie season on steady progression, being careful not to give up points. But this late in the year, Championships aren't given - you have to take them." said Hill, co-principal of TWOth Autosport. "That's the race I came here to run, and that's what this team and our partners deserved."
"That pass is who Travis is, and who TWOth is," said Trevor Hill. "We build drivers for moments exactly like that one and I'm proud to see this team take home its first IMSA championship."

The Bronze Cup extends a run few teams in North America can touch: TC Canada championship, the FIA Motorsport Games, a TCR team championship, TCA championship, Radical Cup Canada championship, HSR Prototype Challenge championship, and now an IMSA championship in the team's debut LMP3 season. Six straight years of national or international titles from Touring Car to GT and prototypes

The team carries the crown into an ambitious 2027: a two-car IMSA VP Challenge entry with Ligier JS P325 LMP3s and Porsche 718 GT4 RS Clubsports, along with select IMSA WeatherTech Championship endurance seat time, and a path to a full LMP2 program with the 2028 homologation.

This title is also the latest chapter in a decade-long story with Shopify and debut season as Shopify Racing powered by TWOth. The Ottawa-based team has spent nearly ten years as the racing development team of Shopify founder Tobi Lütke, building his program from his very first track day to Le Mans — and completing his second full season of IMSA WeatherTech LMP2 competition in the Motul Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta with TDS Racing. Together, they bring IMSA success home to their headquarters at Calabogie Motorsports Park.
